The two overnight stays are scheduled at the Rifugio V Alpini at 2,877 meters in Val Zebru’, unrivaled for its incredibly picturesque location and warm hospitality, and the Rifugio Forni at 2,200 meters, where a comfortable stay and the extraordinary, always-appreciated cuisine of chefs Grazia and Pietro await you. Three days dedicated to sports, the flavors of Valtellina’s specialties, and the hospitality of these welcoming mountain huts. Tour departure point: Niblogo Parking Lot. Charming and pristine, perhaps the wildest of them all, Val Zebru’ is one of the most picturesque valleys in the Stelvio National Park and welcomes hikers with its rich wildlife and gentle slopes, offering a total immersion in nature at its purest and most bountiful—suitable even for less experienced hikers. Here, in particular, you can spot animal species impossible to see elsewhere, such as the bearded vulture and the golden eagle, along with deer, ibex, chamois, squirrels, marmots, and foxes. A truly priceless experience, especially for children. Day 1: From the Niblogo parking lot to the V Alpini Mountain Hut, traveling through the magnificent and wild Val Zebru’, first along an easy dirt road and then on a comfortable, gentle trail for the final stretch. Day 2: From the Rifugio V Alpini to the Rifugio Forni via the Passo Zebru’. From the Rifugio V Alpini, descend through the lower part of the Val Zebru’ to the beautiful waterfall fed by the Miniera glacier. From here, the trail climbs to Passo Zebru’ at 3,010 meters, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ortles-Cevedale massif and the Tredici Cime. You then continue downhill through Val Cedec, first toward the Pizzini Mountain Hut and then to the Forni Mountain Hut, where you’ll spend the night. Day 3: From the Forni Mountain Hut to the Niblogo Parking Lot. The longest stage of the hike, but also the flattest. You’ll pass by the Ables farmhouse and, amid a succession of picturesque changes in scenery, traverse the Confinale Valley to first reach the Baite di Cavallaio and then descend into Val Zebru’ to return to the Niblogo parking lot, where you left your car.
