Starting in the center of Bormio, the climb to Bormio 2000 is an approximately 9 km route with an elevation gain of about 700 meters. The road is entirely paved and has steady, even gradients, making it ideal for a focused workout or to warm up the legs. When you arrive at an altitude of 2,000 meters, you enjoy a beautiful panorama and find yourself in the heart of the ski resort.

In 2004 Damiano Cunego made it famous by winning a stage of the Giro d'Italia and then winning the final pink jersey. The climb leads up to an altitude of 2,000, right on the ski fields, and is characterized by wide switchbacks through the woods.

The pros ride it on rest days between big climbs. Others have to sweat it all out. The view of Bormio Town is like a picture on a postcard.

In 2004 Damiano Cunego made this climb famous when he won a section of the Giro d'Italia before going on to claim the pink shirt in the end. The climb leads up to 2000 metres, directly along ski slopes, and is notable for its wide turns through the forest.
