Starting from Bormio, follow for Cepina and the ascent to Monte starts at the cemetery in Scleva.
The road winds through lush forests, with varying gradients and some very steep sections.
Once the mountain pasture of Monte is reached, there are sweeping views of the Bormio basin and surrounding peaks, a true spectacle. This is a less-traveled climb, with little traffic and very rewarding.
