Nine climbs, over 230 kilometers, and more than 7,500 meters of elevation gain: this route brings together in a single day most of the climbs from the Stelvio Epic Rides, the challenge dedicated to the most iconic climbs in the Bormio area.

The route starts in Bormio and immediately tackles one of the giants of the Alps: the Stelvio Pass, approached from the Valtellina side. After returning toward Bormio, the route heads to Valfurva and climbs along the Strada dei Forni, nestled within the spectacular scenery of the Stelvio National Park.

The day continues with the Gavia Pass, at an elevation of over 2,600 meters, followed by the long descent toward Ponte di Legno and the subsequent climb up the Mortirolo Pass.

Back on the Valtellina side, the second part of the route takes you to discover lesser-known but equally iconic climbs in the area: Fumero, Monte, and the Forte di Oga.

This leaves two major climbs: the ascent to the Cancano Lakes, through the characteristic hairpin turns of the Scale di Fraele, and finally Bormio 2000, the last challenge of a truly extraordinary day.

This route alternates between major Alpine passes, scenic roads, and local climbs, allowing you to experience 9 of the 10 climbs of the Stelvio Epic Rides in a single day.

This is no ordinary cycling tour, but a true test of endurance, reserved for athletes with specific training for very long distances and significant elevation gains.

Special thanks to Michele Antonioli, a former Olympic short-track speed skater from Bormio and ice skating coach, who transformed the 9 climbs of the Stelvio Epic Rides into a single, extraordinary day in the saddle.
