The UpperAthesian slope of the climb to the Stelvio Pass is the most notable for its unique road which, has cyclists clambering through a rapid succession of hairpin turns in the fi nal kilometres. The base of the slope, with its quaint Tyrolean chalets suddenly gives way to the view of ORTLES, HER MAJESTY, the mountain that overlooks the valley with her yearround glaciers.
