This is the final stage of the Alta Via, which makes it possible to return to the main villages at the bottom of the valley with a route that is as rewarding as ever, especially for the grandiose panorama that gradually embraces much of the tour taken. From the pleasant basin of Alpe Prabello, we follow the beautiful mule track that leads to Alpe Acquanera, characterized by the presence of large peat bogs. The trail now rises in altitude at the base of the Monte Acquanera-Monte Cavaglia-Monte Palino coastline, with an up and down that first leads to Alpe Cavaglia and finally descends to the former ski area of Piazzo Cavalli. When Piazzo Cavalli is reached, it is possible to quickly descend Caspoggio from the former ski slopes and then by public transportation back to Torre di Santa Maria. Alternatively, from Piazzo Cavalli it is possible to descend directly to Torre via the residential nuclei of Prà Mosin and Dagua.
