Art and nature in Sondalo

Sondalo is home to two hidden gems you won’t want to miss: Val di Rezzalo and a beautiful old town.

Nestled in the Stelvio National Park, Val di Rezzalo is an oasis of peace and tranquillity in Alta Valtellina and a wonderful spot for hiking and ski touring. A picturesque patchwork of woodland and Alpine pastures, tiny hamlets and the pretty Church of San Bernardo, this wide valley also offers spectacular views of the Gavia Pass from Passo dell'Alpe. After exploring the outdoors, make sure to visit Sondalo's old town, where you can admire spectacular frescoes by Anesi, aka Giovannino da Sondalo, and the Alpine character of this charming village.
