Weekly Guided Hikes – Summer 2025

Discover the mountains with four unmissable weekly outings, accompanied by a certified Mountain Leader (Medium Mountain Guide). Each hike offers a different experience: from nature and wildlife to history and high peaks.
All hikes are free of charge (cable car ticket not included) and start from the S. Caterina – Vallalpe cable car.

The guide will meet you either at the cable car departure point at 9:30 AM or at the Vallalpe arrival station (second section) at 9:45 AM.

TUESDAY – Nature Around You
An easy, family-friendly hike to discover alpine flowers, wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes.
A perfect opportunity to relax, learn, and connect with the mountain environment.

Duration: 3 hours (9:45 AM – 1:00 PM)

Distance: 3 km

Elevation gain: 150 m

Level: Easy – suitable for everyone

THURSDAY – Walking Through History
A journey through trenches, artillery posts, and wartime shelters from World War I (1915–1918), exploring the historical traces left in the mountains of Valfurva.

Duration: about 4 hours (9:45 AM – 1:45 PM)

Distance: 7 km

Elevation gain: 500 m

Level: Intermediate

SATURDAY – The Cross of Monte Sobretta (3296 m)
Reach one of the most stunning peaks in the area! Starting from Vallalpe, the trail leads to the summit of Monte Sobretta, where a monumental cross overlooks spectacular alpine scenery.

Duration: 9:45 AM – 2:30 PM

Distance: 10 km

Elevation gain: 650 m

Level: Intermediate

SUNDAY – High-Altitude Nature Experience
Medium-length, moderately challenging hikes designed to help you explore the beauty of high-altitude landscapes.
Thanks to the cable car, you’ll quickly reach 2,700 m and dive straight into nature.

Distance: 5 km

Elevation gain: 200 m

Level: Intermediate
