Born in 2000 in Milan, on the initiative and under the direction of Elisabetta Sgarbi, La Milanesiana aims to cross different knowledge and arts, presenting to the general public the international excellences of the cultural and scientific world: Nobel laureates in literature and science, Oscar-winning filmmakers, and musicians who have received the highest international awards. Over the years, the festival has increasingly broadened its areas of intervention and, beyond Milan, takes place in various cities in Italy, including, for the past ten years, in Bormio.
Each year, La Milanesiana addresses a theme that characterizes and encompasses the entire edition. This year it is "Desire and the Law".
