Reading Party...at the Botanical Garden

Event details

Date iconJune 6, 2026 Event type iconWellness, Culture, Families & Children Location iconAlpine Botanical Garden "Rezia"

The Bormio Library, in collaboration with the "Rezia" Alpine Botanical Garden, is pleased to invite you to a new event dedicated to free reading.

Not sure what it's about?

The inspiration came from a trend across the ocean, which is now sweeping the world and originated about a couple of years ago from the idea of four twenty-somethings in New York who decided to gather in an apartment in Brooklyn to read and discuss what they had read. This led to the so-called Reading Parties: silent gatherings lasting a couple of hours dedicated to reading together. The rules are really few: a comfortable and quiet environment, good lighting, smartphones turned off, and good company of fellow book lovers.

So bring along your favorite book, a magazine, the novel you're currently reading, or even the title you just can't tackle alone due to lack of time and concentration. Don’t have anything to read? No problem, you can borrow something from the selected bibliography we will offer for the occasion before settling down and letting yourself get carried away by reading.
At the conclusion of the individual reading phase, there will be a moment for dialogue and listening: each participant can freely choose to share their impressions of their reading, read an important passage they want to share with others, or simply listen.

Don't forget to bring a glass or a cup to enjoy the small botanical aperitif that will be offered for the occasion!
