Reading group

The Valdidentro Library is pleased to invite all reading enthusiasts to the next meeting of the reading group.

The session will be dedicated to discussing the novel Caos calmo by Sandro Veronesi, winner of the 2006 Premio Strega. The book tells the story of Pietro Paladini, a man whose life is suddenly upended by the loss of his wife. From that moment on, Pietro chooses to spend his days in front of his daughter’s school, waiting for her to come out, finding in that quiet routine a way to cope with grief and observe the world that keeps moving around him. It is an intense and moving novel that delicately explores the themes of mourning, fragility, and the search for a new balance.

To create a warm and personal atmosphere, participants are invited to bring their own mug, which can be used to enjoy a hot herbal tea during the evening.

Participation is free and open to anyone interested. Please note that the discussion will take place in Italian.
