Glicerio Mezzani: an artist tied to his land
Glicerio Mezzani was born in Bormio in 1945; after studying at Brera, he spent his early years in activity, and subsequently, his works were exhibited at the Lincoln Center in New York and admired by over 15,000 visitors. He then won the First National Prize for Small Format and a gold medal at the Tiberina Academy in Rome.
He has received numerous accolades and has exhibited in Brussels, Melbourne, and Sydney, as well as in the main Italian cities. His painting certainly reflects his personality; his works indeed convey a spontaneous availability, a triumph of craftsmanship, perfectionism, and genius.
