Born is Oro Bianco - a story of sports and community: the exhibition that tells the Olympic soul of Alta Valtellina.
Dedicating to the roots, passion, and Olympic triumphs of Valtellina, the exhibition pathway celebrates a land where snow is not just a natural element, but a true identity language. Alta Valtellina experiences winter sports as destiny, tradition, and the driving force of a community that, over more than a century, has transformed everyday gestures into discipline and collective passion into international achievements.
The exhibition
A journey through history, innovation, and sporting memory, Oro Bianco intertwines the life of the territory with the evolution of winter sports, presenting an exceptional selection of objects from the Museo Vallivo Valfurva, photographic archives, period and modern equipment, and original materials provided by athletes.
The pathway guides visitors through:
- mountain life objects that tell the ingenuity of alpine communities;
- archive photographs that capture the birth of the first sporting practices, along with historical and contemporary technical equipment highlighting a century of innovation;
- medals, bib numbers, trophies, and original memorabilia of local champions.
At the center of the main hall, the stories of the protagonists take shape, presented through authentic Olympic medals, a true collective treasure that testifies to the strength, talent, and determination of generations of athletes who have brought Valtellina to the top of the international scene.

The exhibition gathers materials provided by the Museo Vallivo Valfurva, from private collections of athletes, and from photographic and audiovisual archives.
The project is promoted by the Valfurva Administration and the Proloco, who commissioned SOLUZIONIMUSEALI ims and Dr. Arch. Massimo Simini for design and setup.
The initiative has also received the sponsorship of FISI and CONI Lombardia, contributing to making Oro Bianco an event of value not only culturally, but deeply symbolic in view of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.
