The legendary Stelvio slope in Bormio will be the star of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, hosting the men's alpine skiing competitions. Today's event features the Giant Slalom!
Bormio is among the ski resorts that have made the history of alpine skiing. The hall of fame of the Stelvio slope includes great champions of downhill skiing, from Americans Miller and Rahlves, to Austrians Maier, Walchhofer, Eberharter, Schifferer, and Strobl, to Swiss Defago, and Italians Innerhofer and Paris, the latter winning in both 2017 and 2018, in both the downhill and Super-G.
After hosting the World Cup for over 30 years, 2 World Championships, for the first time, the slope will be the venue for the Winter Olympic Games!
