The legendary Stelvio slope in Bormio is the star of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, hosting the men's alpine skiing competitions. Today’s meeting features the most coveted race, the downhill!
Bormio is among the skiing resorts that have made history in alpine skiing. The gold list of the Stelvio slope includes great champions of the downhill, from Americans Miller and Rahlves, to Austrians Maier, Walchhofer, Eberhart, Schifferer, and Strobl, to Swiss Defago, and Italians Innerhofer and Paris, the latter having won both the downhill and SuperG in 2017 and 2018.
After hosting the World Cup for over 30 years, 2 World Championships, for the first time, the slope will be the stage for the Winter Olympic Games!
