Wings on Feet (Fulvio Mariani - duration: 53 minutes - year: 2006)
The documentary offers a portrait of John Falkiner, a highly charismatic personality in the world of skiing, cinematography, and especially telemark: the oldest way of skiing that Falkiner was among the first to rediscover, revisit, and promote. Falkiner shares his life story with warmth and gentle humor, allowing us to retrace significant moments in skiing history alongside Paolo Tassi from Cortina d’Ampezzo, another notable free interpreter of telemark and a great friend. The two friends take us on journeys of discovery and friendship through the stunning landscapes of Lebanon, Patagonia, the Dolomites, Etna, and Kashmir. John and Paolo share their dreams and choices that led them to abandon competitions and embrace skiing as a more complete and fulfilling lifestyle. The images, sometimes of high spectacle and action, sometimes of great poetry and contemplation, make us hope for a more genuine and sincere world without generational, linguistic, territorial, ideological, or religious limitations, more in tune with humanity, where nature itself is our constant source of inspiration and play.

Trento Film Festival: Mountains and Cultures
Founded in 1952, the Trento Film Festival is the first thematic film festival in the world and the second Italian festival after the Venice Film Festival. For over seventy years, it has been the reference event dedicated to the themes of mountain, adventure, and exploration, and environmental, cultural, and current issues have increasingly made the event and its programming more stimulating and varied.
The mountain is the protagonist, and numerous themes related to it, starting from mountaineering and its great international names, have opened up and evolved over the years, exploring new forms of language, dialogue, and sharing with the audience.
Each year, the international competition presents the best documentaries, feature films, and short films set against the backdrop of mountains and extreme regions of the world.
