The Department of Culture organizes, every Wednesday in July and August, "Read Bormio, a mountain of words", a series of meetings with different authors.

Reading and discussion of the book "What Remains of the Eclipse" by Andrea Quintili, published by Edizioni del Sud.

Description

On December 28, 1978, following a political terrorism ambush, the blood of Officer Carta stains the asphalt of Rome red, indelibly marking the lives of the protagonists and their families.
Andrea Quintili tells of one of the darkest periods in Italian history, the so-called "years of lead", and gives voice to those who suffered that war. He amplifies the subdued cry of those who did not take part in the armed struggle but were swept up in it, suffering ideological choices made by others.
What Remains of the Eclipse is an intense journey through collective and private memory, beginning in the Roman outskirts of the seventies, passing through Paris in the two-thousands and reaching the far north of Norway, in the Lofoten Islands. It explores the tragic legacies of the past and the wounds that continue to bleed in the present.
Because when the sun darkens, no one is truly saved.
