Glicerio Mezzani: an artist connected to his homeland
Glicerio Mezzani was born in Bormio in 1945; after studying at Brera, he spent his first years working there, and later his works were exhibited at Lincoln Center in New York and admired by over 15000 visitors. He then won the First National Prize for Small Format and a gold medal at the Accademia Tiberina in Rome.
He has received numerous awards and has exhibited in Brussels, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as in the main Italian cities. His painting certainly reflects his personality; his works in fact reveal a spontaneous openness, a triumph of craftsmanship, perfectionist and brilliant.
