Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina 2026 - Gavia Pass

Also this summer, the legendary alpine passes of the Stelvio National Park and Valtellina remain free of motorized traffic: an opportunity for cyclists who can enjoy the iconic climbs in complete freedom.

Great climbs and no smog on the passes

The weekends chosen for the closure to motorized traffic coincide with some major events that traditionally draw great interest among cycling enthusiasts.

Now in its 9th edition, it was created with the aim of promoting the great alpine passes, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the legendary cycling climbs in complete freedom.

The event is free and open to everyone - there is no registration and it is not a competition

• Passo Gavia: Friday 5 June
  Road closed from 9.00 to 13.00 from S. Caterina Valfurva (SO) and from S. Apollonia (BS)
• Climb to Laghi di Cancano: Monday 8 June

• Passo del Mortirolo from Mazzo: Tuesday 9 June

  Road closed from 8.00 to 14.00 from loc. Campodolcino, in Valchiavenna (SO) and from Splügen (CH)

• Climb to Laghi di Cancano: Saturday 11 July

• Climb to Campo Moro - at night: Saturday 1 August

• Passo dello Stelvio: Saturday 29 August (in conjunction with the 24th edition of the Scalata Cima Coppi)
