Concert by Fabrizio Grecchi.
On the occasion, the Milanese pianist and composer will bring his project “BEATLES PIANO SOLO”, the format with which he has been engaging audiences for years with reinterpretations of the music of the Fab Four.
To date, Beatles Piano Solo has been seen by nearly 40,000 people worldwide, from Italy to France to the United States of America.
The central element of “BEATLES PIANO SOLO” is reinterpretation: Fabrizio Grecchi changes tempo and harmony while keeping the original melody intact, allowing the audience to recognize the songs and join in singing. Classics such as “Michelle”, “Yesterday” and “Come Together” are accompanied by songs for the most devoted fans, such as “A Day in The Life” and “I Want You (She's So Heavy)”, in a continuous dialogue between stage and audience made up of improvisations and anecdotes.
The musician and composer says:
" The Beatles are the reason I started playing" My concert is more of a thank-you than a tribute. I think music speaks about life. I like to imagine that it exists for this".
"I rearranged the songs to make my own versions in Piano Solo. I tried to find the essentials, within the immense arrangement work done by the Beatles and George Martin, with the aim of preserving the original melodic spirit of the songs"
