Archeoalps Excursions 2026 - Beneath the Tresero glacier: the highest rock engravings in Europe

At the foot of Punta del Segnale del Segnale you will discover the highest rock engravings in Europe.
Dating back to the Bronze Age (3,500 years ago), they add a new piece to the history of the ancient relationship between humans and mountains. These depictions of people, animals and spirals emerged as a result of the retreat
of the glacier, a consequence of climate change.
