Little Summer 2026

As part of the Little Summer programme in Valdidentro, Friday afternoon is dedicated to the “Traditions in Play” workshops, a creative and culinary experience designed for children aged 6 to 12.

Organised in collaboration with the Gruppo Valdidentro Folk and the Museo Vallivo di Valfurva, these events allow younger children to learn while having fun, rediscovering gestures, flavours and activities linked to local tradition through hands-on, engaging experiences.

🧈 The workshop: let’s make alpine butter

The first event will be dedicated to discovering one of the simplest and most authentic products of tradition: alpine butter.

During the workshop, children will have the chance to try making it themselves, starting from the basic ingredients and directly experimenting with the techniques once used.

A practical and fun activity that will offer a close-up look at how a everyday food is made, highlighting the connection with the local area and mountain traditions.

• Date: Friday, 17 July
• Times for the two sessions:
  • 15:00 – 16:30
  • 16:30 – 18:00
• Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
• Age: 6 to 12 years old
• Available places: maximum 30 children per session

📍 Location

The workshop takes place at the Orto Didattico di Valdidentro; in case of bad weather, the activity will be moved to Polifunzionale Rasin.

🎁 A keepsake for everyone

At the end of the activity, each child will receive a small gift and a participation card, which will be stamped at every workshop, to make the experience even more engaging.

The activity can be booked directly online or at the Ufficio Turistico di Valdidentro.

Rates:

• € 7,00 per child
• € 5,00 per child (residents of Valdidentro)

👉 During registration, parents will be asked to complete and sign a waiver for participation in the activities and a liability release.
