Little Ones' Summer 2026

The super creative workshops for little ones are back!

As part of Little Ones' Summer in Valdidentro, a special event: a creative workshop on shadows, designed to introduce young children to the language of theatre, imagination, and visual storytelling.

The activity will be led by Giacomo Occhi, who will guide the children through a surprising experience in which light, paper, and imagination are transformed into a story.

🌙 A journey into the world of shadows

Shadows have always had something mysterious and fascinating about them: they change shape, move, transform, and make it possible to tell stories with just a few elements.

During the workshop, children will discover the magic of shadow theatre and learn how a shadow is created, how it can become a character, and how, through small gestures and simple materials, it is possible to create a short animation.

🦌 Mountain animals and woodland creatures

After a brief introduction to the shadow theatre technique, each participant will create their own silhouettes inspired by mountain animals: deer, owls, foxes, ibexes, and other woodland creatures.

Once the characters are made, the children will learn how to bring the shadows to life, experimenting with movement, transformations, and small stage actions behind the illuminated screen.

✂️ Build, invent, animate

The workshop will guide children through a creative journey of making, theatrical play, and imagination.

Participants will be able to create simple silhouettes and experiment with how light transforms objects into living images, then learn how to animate them through movement.

🎭 An indoor workshop to enjoy the experience at its best

To allow children to experience the shadow play to the fullest, the workshop will take place indoors, in a space suitable for the use of light and the creation of projections.

This will make it possible to enhance the effect of the shadows and offer participants a more immersive and engaging experience.

👧 Two sessions for small groups

The activity is aimed at children from 4 years old and will be organised in two sessions, each lasting about an hour and a half.

Each session can accommodate a maximum of 15 children, so as to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part actively and with support.

• € 5,00 for residents of Valdidentro
