A very scenic route that starts from the distinctive Torri di Fraele and leads toward Monte Scale, a place of great natural and historical interest.
The itinerary follows a mule track and several trails that cross a forest of mountain pines and scree slopes, until reaching the Monte Scale barracks. Here, a tunnel allows you to cross the pass and emerge on the opposite side of the mountain.
After another ten minutes’ walk, you reach the Cross, a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the entire valley. In the past, the strategic position of Monte Scale made it possible to monitor and defend the area in all directions.
The hike is enriched by the presence of the historian Marco Rodigari, who will captivate the audience with the telling of carefully documented historical notes and facts.
