Alpine gathering in San Giacomo

The gathering organized by the Alpini of Pedenosso in San Giacomo di Fraele is one of the events that mark the alpine summer in Valdidentro: different moments, but united by the same spirit of community and tradition.

This edition of the gathering in Cancano takes on special significance, marking the 50th anniversary of the Feast of St. Giacomo, an important milestone that bears witness to the continuity and value of a deeply cherished celebration.

The program includes the solemn Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m., accompanied by the Coro Stelvio and celebrated by Luciano Capelli, Bishop Emeritus of the Solomon Islands. Also present will be the young people from Campo Scuola, representatives of the Alpini Groups, the flag and the honor guard of the V Alpini regiment, making the occasion even more meaningful.

This will be followed by the traditional alpine meal, a convivial opportunity to share lunch and come together again.

The day will also be enlivened by the music of Sabrina Salvestrin, accordionist and performer of popular and alpine repertoire, who will accompany the gathering with pieces capable of evoking the spirit of tradition and celebration.
