Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina 2026

This summer, the legendary alpine passes of the Stelvio National Park and Valtellina remain free from motor traffic: an opportunity for cyclists who can enjoy the mythical climbs in complete freedom.

Great climbs and no smog on the passes

The weekends chosen for the closure to motor traffic coincide with some major events that traditionally represent a huge attraction for cycling enthusiasts.

Now in its 9th edition, it was created with the aim of enhancing the great alpine passes, offering visitors the chance to enjoy the mythical cycling climbs in complete freedom.

The event is free and open to all - there are no registrations and it is not a competition

June

• Passo Gavia: Friday June 5
  Road closed from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM from S. Caterina Valfurva (SO) and from S. Appolonia (BS)
• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Monday June 8
  Road closed from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)
• Passo del Mortirolo: Tuesday June 9
  Road closed from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM from Mazzo di Valtellina (SO)

July  

• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Saturday July 11
  Road closed from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)

August

• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Thursday, 27 August
  Road closed from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)
• Passo del Mortirolo: Friday, 28 August
  Road closed from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm from Mazzo di Valtellina (SO)
• Passo dello Stelvio: Saturday, 29 August  (in conjunction with the 24th edition of the Cima Coppi Climb)
  Road closed from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm from Bormio, loc. Bagni Vecchi (SO), from Trafoi (BZ) and from Santa Maria Val Mustair (CH)
• Passo Gavia: Sunday, 30 August
  Road closed from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm from S. Caterina Valfurva (SO) and from S. Appolonia (BS)

September

• Passo dello Stelvio: Saturday, 19 September (in conjunction with the 24th edition of the Cima Coppi Climb)
