Alpi 4000, the great mountain hiking trip, is an unforgettable cycling adventure between the Alps and the Dolomites!

In 2026, the year of the Milano Cortina Olympics, ALPI 4000 presents a renewed cycling route with Bormio as the central point.
The route extends to Milano and into the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site, offering a unique experience on over 400 km of bike paths through lakes, rivers, and spectacular valleys.
Cyclists will tackle the legendary climbs of the Giro d'Italia, including Passo dello Stelvio, Passo Gavia, Passo Mortirolo, Passo Pordoi, Passo Falzarego and Passo Bernina, with breathtaking views.

In addition to the sporting challenge, the route is a journey through history, culture, and gastronomy, passing through charming villages and meeting enthusiasts from all over the world.

  • Stage 1: Bormio- Passo Bernina (57 km and 2,049 m d+)
  • Stage 2: Passo Bernina- Vendrogno (122 km and 1,060 m d+)
  • Stage 3: Vendrogno-Rescaldina (87 km and 871 m d+)
  • Stage 4: Rescaldina- Gorgonzola (58 km and 106 m d+)
  • Stage 5: Gorgonzola-Trescore Balneario (70 km and 342 m d+)
  • Stage 6: Trescore Balneario-Schilpario (82 km and 2,031 m d+)
  • Stage 7: Schilpario- Bormio (118 km and 2,959 m d+)
  • Stage 8: Bormio-Spormaggiore (125 km and 2,735 m d+)
  • Stage 9: Spormaggiore-Feltre (158 km and 2,073 m d+)
  • Stage 10: Feltre-Pieve di Cadore (108 km and 1,472 m d+)
  • Stage 11: Pieve di Cadore- La Villa in Badia (101 km and 2,356 m d+)
  • Stage 12: La Villa in Badia- Tesero (72 km and 1,293 m d)
  • Stage 13: Tesero-Merano (73 km and 567 m d+)
  • Stage 14 - the Queen Stage: Merano-Passo dello Stelvio- Bormio (98 km and 2,517 m d+)
