This is one of Livigno's most iconic trails, a course that takes you up the same roads faced by the champions of the 2024 Giro d'Italia, with the unforgettable summit finish at Mottolino and Tadej Pogačar's victory.
It starts with a short flat section inside the village, ideal for warming up the legs. Reaching the Mottolino traffic circle, the challenging part begins with the Teola climb. Here the route becomes more challenging, winding up the climb to Passo d'Eira, characterized by a fairly constant and challenging gradient.
Once we reach Passo d'Eira, the toughest, but also the most symbolic section begins. The road on this last uclimb of the route, built especially for the Giro, has very short sections of false flat and light climbing, alternating with numerous steep sections that will test your stamina.
The return follows the same route as the outward: a sometimes steep descent to Passo d'Eira, followed by a steady descent to Livigno, then ending with a short flat section to loosen up your legs. This route is a must for any cyclist who wants to experience the thrills of the Giro d'Italia and test their skills on a legendary course.
