The climb to reach Prato Valentino from Tresenda is all on asphalt road, quite long, with good average gradient, but it reserves the surprise of the final stretch from 15 to 17 %: fatigue can push to the use of the average motor assistance. For the descent, the uphill route is recommended. Some possibilities suitable for the more experienced are mentioned below. From Prato Valentino you can descend to Teglio on sections of dirt road and trail that are often steep, bumpy and rocky, following the arrows indicating S.Eufemia - Teglio. Even on the last stretch to Tresenda, an alternative route can be followed along roads and mule tracks among the vineyards, starting to the left of Teglio's Palazzo Besta and passing through Sommasassa.
