The vertical fun | 3.012 - 1.225 m
The ski area turns into a snow amusement park!
Bormio Ski manages the Bormio ski area with over 50 km of slopes served by a modern and functional lift system:
- 30 slopes (10 blue, 13 red, and 7 black)
- 22 skiways (connecting slopes)
- 12 lifts (1 cable car, 1 funicular, 4 chairlifts, 2 surface lifts, and 4 carpets)
- 3 school fields
- 1 play area (Playwood)
- 1 Snowpark
- 1 Funslope
- 1 Olympic and World Cup slope (the Stelvio!)
The Bormio ski area can satisfy both less experienced skiers, with medium difficulty slopes and school fields for beginners, and more demanding ones with challenging trails like the Stelvio slope, which was the world capital of men's downhill skiing for twenty years in the World Cup and, in 2026, will be a major highlight of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics!
The vertical drop of the ski area is breathtaking. Bormio is #verticalfun: a plunge of 1,800 meters, from Cima Bianca (3,012 m) to Bormio (1,225 m), unmatched throughout the Alps. The snow is definitely at home here: the sophisticated artificial snowmaking system is ready to kick in to ensure 80% of the slopes are covered in snow!
Freeride, Funslope & The Jungle Snowpark
Off-piste skiing gives unique sensations, where there are no groomed trails but only beautiful powder snow that has fallen from the sky. But, remember, approach freeride consciously! We suggest practicing off-piste skiing accompanied by a mountain guide or an instructor (and definitely never alone). Always check the avalanche bulletin and arm yourself with ARTVA, backpack, probe, and shovel.
There are two freeride areas at Bormio Ski: the Vallone, with the La Classica and La Croce routes, and the Posto degli Sciatori, with the Sciatori and Antenne routes.
The Funslope Valbella, at 2,500 m, is designed for the whole family!
Snow lovers looking for adventures can tackle a fun course filled with cute obstacles like bumps, jumps, waves, and funny sound installations. You start from the red entrance portal, where you can already catch a glimpse of the first obstacle. From here, you directly access the first series of snow waves, where a bit of talent and a lot of momentum are enough for a fun up and down. Along the way, you'll find a giant hand to give a high five and recharge. After leaving the first obstacles behind, the course leads us to discover incredible parabolic turns, to be navigated with a quick step first to the left and then to the right. At the last turn, other waves can already be seen: all you have to do is gain some speed and you're done!
The Jungle Snowpark
Upgraded facilities, amazing jumps, fun, and adrenaline in a new, wider, modern, and cool location with two dedicated lines, beginner and intermediate. The new Bormio Snowpark is here, and nothing will ever be the same. Welcome to the Jungle. Bormio's vertical fun enriches the offer with the explosive energy of the new snowpark The Jungle: here, all freeskier and snowboarder with refined skills will find tricks and jumps not to miss. There are no limits to creativity: in addition to thrilling jibs, there are also kickers of varying lengths for a good dose of airtime!
PlayWood, the snow play park
Discover PlayWood, the free play area at Bormio 2000, where snow fun knows no limits! Located next to the new school fields, the park is a little corner of magic for families and children, designed to stimulate imagination and play outdoors. Here, little snow lovers will have the time of their lives. Wooden games, slides, swings, and a PVC castle turn every day into an adventure! Take your little ones up high and let them have fun in this oasis of snow play. A perfect place for a fun relaxing break.
And many other activities...
For an unforgettable experience, we suggest a somewhat unusual activity like paragliding: an experienced pilot will let you enjoy the pleasure of soaring in the air taking off with skis or snowboard from 2600 meters above sea level.
Finally, to experience a unique thrill, there’s night skiing: 4 km of perfectly lit slopes in a decidedly enchanting atmosphere.
