The beginning of the trail is just above the start of the Magnolta cable car, looking at the black slope on the right. We pass in the vicinity of a ruined hut and ascend until we reach the locality Foppe where, going up the meadows and always keeping the ski slope on the left, we end up reaching the road that during the summer takes us to the Malga Magnolta.
We follow the road that climbs into the woods and pass the locality Corna with wide views of the middle Valtellina. After a few hairpin bends the road pushes eastward and at the signpost we turn onto a path that climbs to the right inside a fir forest. The path in this section runs between small clearings and increasingly sparse woods until we reach the wide clearing of the Magnolta hut with an incredible view of the head of Val Belviso and Lake Belviso.
The descent is made on groomed trails and takes us back to the village.
To tackle this hike we recommend normal ski mountaineering equipment (ARTVA shovel and probe) and also to consult the nivo-meteorological bulletin.
