FOSCAGNO PASS
The Foscagno Pass (2.291 metres) connects Alta Valtellina with Livigno, and is the only way to reach Livigno without passing through Switzerland.
It can be easily reached by car along the SS 301 road, which is called "del Foscagno".
This 24 km climb, with a height difference of 1.066 meters, is an ideal preparation for more challenging routes, it is often used by professional cyclists who choose this area for their altitude training.
At the Foscagno Pass there is also a customs post to regulate the passages to and from Livigno (duty-free zone).
