Herbstausflüge 2026: Das Röhren des Hirsches

Der Frühherbst ist die Zeit der Hirschbrunft. Die Männchen geben ihr Röhren zum Besten; die Lichtungen im Wald hallen von ihren Rufen wider.
So versuchen sie, rivalisierende Männchen einzuschüchtern und möglichst viele Weibchen in ihren Harem zu locken.
Wenn das Röhren nicht ausreicht, um die anderen Männchen einzuschüchtern, kann es auch zum „Kampf“ kommen: eine Art „Armwrestling“ Geweih gegen Geweih.

  Treffpunkt: Parkplatz San Giacomo di Fraele | Uhrzeit: 9.30 | Maximale Entfernung: 8,5 km | Höhenunterschied: 150 m
  Die Wanderung ist Teil des Interreg-Projekts MAP-Rezia, das sich der Erforschung und Überwachung der Biodiversität widmet, und umfasst eine Route, die teilweise entlang des Cammino dei Tre Parchi.
  Hinweis: Zufahrtsstraße nach Cancano gebührenpflichtig - Ticketautomaten entlang der Aufstiegsrouten

Autumn 2026 excursions: The bellowing of the stag

Early autumn is the mating season for stags. The males put on a display of bellowing; the forest clearings echo with their calls.
In this way, they seek to intimidate rival males and attract as many females as possible to their harem. If the bellowing is not enough to intimidate the other stags, it can even lead to a ‘clash’: a sort of ‘arm-wrestling’ match, antler against antler.

  Meeting point: San Giacomo di Fraele car park | Time: 9.30 am | Maximum distance: 8.5 km | Elevation gain: 150 m This hike forms part of the Interreg MAP-Rezia project, dedicated to the study and monitoring of biodiversity, and follows a route that runs partly along the Cammino dei Tre Parchi.
  Note: Access road to Cancano is subject to a toll – ticket machines are located along the ascending routes
