Discovering Val Zebrù: between "Bahamas", active volcanoes and ice ages
Giovanni Vezzoli, professor and researcher of geology at the Bicocca University in Milan, will accompany participants along the paths through Val Zebrù, illustrating its uniqueness. A 200 million year long geological journey to understand the geological uniqueness of this valley within the Alpine chain.
Participants in the excursion will be able to see the remains of ancient tropical cliffs, touch the lava of extinct volcanoes, recognise the effects of ice ages and the climatic changes taking place in the last century.
