The trail begins at the start of the Baradello lift, continues skirting the Superpanoramica slope upstream and then climbs following the line of the chairlift. Upon reaching the junction with the road leading to the "Bratte basse" resort, turn left and follow the snow-covered road that has a series of hairpin bends by which it climbs in altitude. The road continues towards the ski slope while the ski mountaineering route climbs and passes the hut on the right. The trail continues until it reaches the "Roccolo" and then continues westward to climb the ridge of the mountain that divides Aprica from the Campovecchio Valley. When the upper part of the Valscesa slope is reached, the skins are removed and it is possible to return to the village on a groomed trail.
A tower used in the past for bird spotting and hunting is visible along this ski mountaineering trail, and the views of the Rhaetian Alps and the Adamello group allow a 360-degree view of all the peaks surrounding Aprica.
To tackle this hike we recommend normal ski mountaineering equipment (ARTVA shovel and probe) and also to consult the nivo-meteorological bulletin.
