The adventure begins with an initial section on a flat paved road from the village, leading to Lake Livigno. From here, the route winds along the Livigno bike path, where the gradient starts slightly with gentle uphill sections alternating with flat or false-flat sections until the beginning of Val Federia, where the most challenging part of the trail awaits you.
From this point, the climb intensifies as you ascend toward the SITAS intermediate. You alternate between gentler inclines and steeper sections, with short intervals of descent, until you reach the actual Tee Trail. Here, variety is the key word: the trail has a dynamic alternation of gentle and more challenging climbs, shallow descents and steeper ones, suitable for bikers with a minimum of experience, as well as uphill and downhill false-floors.
The entire stretch of the Tee Trail offers incredible views of the village and surrounding mountains, traversing sections deep in the forest and skirting the iconic Livigno huts. The trail varies from wider to narrower sections and includes striking passages over bridges crossing streams. This section continues to the area before the junction with the Carousel trails, where the trail becomes flat and wide for a hundred meters or so.
Once at the junction with the Carousel slopes, the trail continues with a wide and not too steep descent that leads directly back to the village. Here you leave the dirt road for asphalt, taking the San Rocco road and then continue on the low road to finally connect to the bike path.
Next, the bike path descends gently downhill for a short distance and then flattens out. The last kilometers of the route develop on the flat allowing you to stretch your legs before rejoining the road near the starting point. A very short section on road closes the ride.
In addition to providing lots of fun, this route offers the beauty of Livigno's huts, magnificent views of Livigno for much of the route, numerous passages through the heart of the forest, and a relaxing final return along the bike path.
