"The Ant Who Learned to Dance" is a captivating and entertaining show for both children and adults, where Aesop's famous fables come to life, bringing smiles and food for thought.
The Grasshopper and the Ant play the roles of presenters and hosts, guiding the audience through the performance of some of the most well-known fables, leading up to the character of the orator Demades, portrayed as Aesop himself.
It is the author who, appearing on stage, leads the audience beyond appearances, unveiling the allegorical meaning of this theatrical tale, just as in the ancient animal fables.
Some of the fables featured in the show include:
The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
The Boy Who Cried Wolf
The Wolf and the Lamb
The Two Travellers and the Bear
The Bear, the Fox and the Lion
The Fox and the Grapes
The Lion, the Mosquito, the Spider and the Bird
The North Wind, the Sun and the Traveller
The Shipwrecked Insects
The show is staged by the youth theatre company "Fili d’Erba, Associazione di Promozione Sociale Spartiacque". The young cast is made up of actors aged between 14 and 23.
