IV Cantoniera - Lake of Rese
An excursion that combines the pleasure of walking with the discovery of a magnificent alpine landscape, punctuated by history and wonder.
For those who choose to arrive by their own car, the meeting point will be at the eighth hairpin bend of the Stelvio road. Those who prefer to take the bus can find themselves at the bus station in Bormio.
From the Della Stua hairpin bend, one ascends on foot towards the area of Lake Rese: a place suspended between sky and rock, with spectacular views of the upper part of the Stelvio road and the Umbrail and Stelvio passes. A perfect spot to stop, observe and reflect on the relationship between man and mountain, and an ideal setting to recount anecdotes about the Great War.
In the afternoon, the day continues at the Stelvio Pass, where the Pirovano Hotel opens its doors for a further moment of discovery to deepen what has been seen.
A journey between land and sky, where every panorama becomes a lesson in history and beauty.
