Atesino Side
A hike that invites you to view the mountain from another perspective, slowly climbing the twists of history.
For those who choose to arrive by car, the meeting point will be directly at the top of the Stelvio Pass. Those who prefer to take the bus can meet at the Bormio bus station.
Once the pass is reached, there will be a short wait for the shuttle that will take the whole group to the Franzenshöhe hotel.
Once we reach the area of Unterstelvio, the trail begins to ascend back to the pass, through sparse woods and high-altitude meadows.
The path, which gently climbs the Tyrolean side, offers unique panoramic views of the Stelvio road, allowing one to observe its route from above, with a glance that unites landscape and human ingenuity. Each viewpoint becomes an opportunity to stop, read the territory, and deepen one’s knowledge of the history, geography, and transformations of the alpine landscape.
In the afternoon, the day continues at altitude at the Stelvio Pass, where Hotel Pirovano opens its doors for an additional moment of discovery to deepen what has been seen.
A leisurely walk, where the ascent becomes discovery and every glance tells a story of a border, a project, a vision.
