The Bormio Library, in collaboration with the Youth Aggregation Centers of Alta Valtellina, offers six meetings to "disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with reality."
In an era increasingly dominated by technology, where smartphone and screen usage is now fully considered an addiction, the desire to experience authentic moments free from digital distractions is growing alongside it.
The event "Offline Mondays" starts with this aim, to create a space where people can unplug, slow down, relax, and "connect" only with one another; at our offline evening, you can read, talk, dance, play, and meet new people, all without your phone.
The inspiration for the event comes from Offline Clubs, which originated in Amsterdam and have since expanded to cities like Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, and Barcelona. These clubs, aimed at the well-being of the community, organize events focused on being together, without phones, to address an increasingly felt need: to disconnect from smartphones and reconnect with people. Their motto is simple: "Swap screen time for real-time." The goal: to spend less time on the phone and more time creating genuine connections, both with oneself and with others.
