SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Overlooking a stunning panoramic terrace, the Church of Saints Peter, Marcellinus, and Erasmus is an ancient building of early medieval origin, likely dating back to the Ottonian period. The structure, simple yet elegant, stands out for its rectangular apse and slender bell tower with a pyramidal spire.
Renovated in the 16th century, it houses a valuable cycle of frescoes by Vincenzo De Barberis, featuring sacred scenes of refined clarity.
Also noteworthy is the 17th-century altarpiece depicting the three patron saints and the “Madonna of the Milk,” known for a curious episode related to its depiction.
A small treasure chest of art and spirituality nestled in the Alpine landscape.
