SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Casa Rocca, "al Bait de Móléta," is one of the best-preserved buildings in the historic center of Oga. Inside, it features a wooden living room with a beam dated 1556, placing this example among the oldest preserved in Alta Valtellina. The building is divided into two distinct parts, communicating with each other: the residence (or rather, residences, considering that the floors were sometimes independent) and the part dedicated to agricultural activities. Interesting are the details of the vaulted ceilings – simple or lunette-shaped – present both in the residence and in the stable and cellars. The entrances to the residence and the barn located upstream are the most altered part of the complex due to an enlargement of the municipal road: until a few decades ago, access to the lower corridor - "cort" - and the stable could be gained through a door located under the entrance stairs of the house. The internal distribution has undergone some slight modifications over time, interesting because it reflects the changing needs of the descendants of the same family who have always inhabited the house.
