In the historic Church of the Holy Crucifix, where among the precious frescoes an intense atmosphere of reflection can be felt, a concert entirely dedicated to the fascinating world of the cello is scheduled.
Entitled "In Two Voices", the concert features a rich lineup of composers that flows through continuous transitions of eras and styles, entrusted to the refined execution of the Duo Mr & Mrs Cello, composed of Fulvia Mancini and Massimiliano Martinelli, versatile and eclectic cellists who blend elements of tradition and contemporary influences on stage and in the studio, with an intense career that sees them active as soloists and principal players in orchestras.
Amidst instrumental interweaving and moments of refined virtuosity, the two performers will offer a brilliant listening journey that ranges from the classical repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach and Jean-Baptiste Barrière to the expressive worlds of contemporary composers like Henry Mancini, Francis Lai, Ennio Morricone, and Fulvia Mancini herself, whose compositions "Romanzo", "Tango", and "Agape" will close the rich lineup.
