Valfurva is considered a freetouring paradise and is nestled within the beautiful Stelvio National Park. In collaboration with the Santa Caterina lift company, the managed trail starts from the Santa Caterina cross-country ski track and reaches Plaghera, offering a scenic ascent through the forest. Upon reaching the end of the skimo trail, if you are an experienced ski mountaineer or accompanied by an Alpine Guide, you can continue along the snow-covered Gavia Road to reach Sunny Valley refuge or Monte Sobretta.
