Bormio is located at an altitude of 4019 feet (1,225 meters), in a wide natural basin surrounded by the mountains of the Ortles-Cevedale group, and is immersed in the Stelvio National Park. In this diverse, natural, and protected environment, Bormio offers a rich assortment of activities, flavors, colors, and landscapes.

Bormio has Something for all tastes

Sports minded visitors can choose from skiing, both in winter and in summer due to the elaborate system of ski lifts above the Stelvio Pass, road cycling over famous passes, mountain biking single track and mule trails, and hiking historical trails to refuges with breathtaking views. Plus that’s only part of the sporting options available, as there’s golf, ice skating, rock climbing, and much more.

Less sports minded and just seeking to relax? Well, you won’t be disappointed with the choice of three different natural hot springs spa resorts: Bagni Nuovi (the New Baths), Bagni Vecchi (the Old Baths), and Bormio Terme. Those looking for culture will enjoy strolling among the ancient streets of Bormio’s historic town center, visiting one of our museums, and sampling the flavors of our local cuisine in our many excellent restaurants and bars. There is plenty to see and do in Bormio, however, there are a few things Not To Be Missed!
