Getting to Know the Stelvio National Park
Among the structures within the Stelvio National Park, the Visitor Center in S. Antonio Valfurva was created in an attempt to provide an overview of the natural and human aspects of the Stelvio National Park on the basis of three fundamental themes: the flora and fauna, the physical landscape, and the anthropogenic structures (man made). Through informative panels and multimedia exhibits, it is possible to understand the more salient aspects of the life of the Park.
The discovery of the bearded vulture
One section of the Visitor Center is equipped with illustrative panels and with a life-size reconstruction of a bearded vulture nest, and focuses specifically on this great and rare bird, of which there are now four pairs with the Park territory. The video station is connected to a webcam pointed directly at the nest of a bearded vulture and allows you to observe in real time, the life of one of these pairs.
Conferences, workshops and movies
In the Visitor Center there is a conference room, where during the summer and winter seasons, there are organized special events, including naturalistic evenings, films, and educational workshops for kids and families.
