3 Gondole

From Bormio, take the gondola up to Bormio 2000. Cycle along the "Strada dell'Acqua", a dirt road of 11km surrounded by greenery with splendid views of the Valfurva. Keep going downhill until you reach Santa Caterina. From here, take the Santa Caterina gondola to reach the top of the mountain and the Sunny Valley Mountain Lodge. Follow the indications to Passo dell'Alpe and begin the descent in the astounding Val di Rezzalo. The first part of the descent is a trail, the second is a dirt road, and the third and last part is a paved road. Once in the town of Frontale, continue downhill to Le Prese. From here, begin the ascent on the provincial road. Once you pass the town of Verzedo, leave the provincial road, turn left and continue on a dirt road that runs alongside the river Adda on your right. Passing through the towns of Aquilone and Tola, take the Sentiero Valtellina , a cycle-pedestrian path that runs along the river for about 9 km to the town of Premadio. Stay on the paved road until the town of Seghetto and from there take the bike path to Isolaccia. This is the last ride with the gondola, the Isolaccia-Pian de La Mota gondola. Once you reach the top of the Conca Bianca refuge, go down the dirt road that leads to the Forte di Oga. Proceed towards Oga, a small but typical mountain village, and descend along the dirt road that leads to the town of Santa Lucia. From here, take the cycle path that runs alongside the Frodolfo river and return to Bormio.
