Ancient Thermal Waters Offering Timeless Relaxation

Looking for wellness in Bormio? Thanks to its natural springs, Bormio has always been famous for its healing waters. For centuries, the ancient springs have made Bormio the perfect destination for healthy, relaxing holidays.

The name Bormio is thought to derive from an ancient Celtic word for ‘warm’ which probably related to the warm thermal waters that flow naturally from our mountains. These springs are several millennia old, with records dating back to Roman times. Thanks to their natural warmth (they rise at between 36° and 41°, depending on the time of year) they provide a lasting feeling of complete relaxation and regeneration. Today, the spas of Bormio are places which unite the pleasures of a mountain holiday with the exceptional properties of the Alpine waters.

There are three spa centres, offering something for everyone

QC Terme Bagni Vecchi

QC Terme Bagni Vecchi, step back in time more than 2,000 years. Choose from the ‘Roman’, ‘Mediaeval’ and ‘Imperial’ baths or the cave of San Martino, which leads to one of the centuries-old springs. The infinity pool, with its wonderful panoramic views overlooking Bormio in the valley below, will take your breath away. For wellness that is timeless.

QC Terme Bagni Nuovi

More than just another spa in Bormio, this is a wonderful art deco treasure where, in the baths of Saturn and Hercules, you can relax on a sensory pathway that culminates in Venus’ Gardens, the largest spa grounds in the Alps. For wellness surrounded by nature.

Bormio Terme

A wellness centre with swimming pools in the centre of Bormio, perfect for all the family. Inside, in addition to the relaxation pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, biosaunas and saunas, there is also space to play with pools designed for young children, including a 60 m water slide and a dedicated pool for swimming. Not forgetting of course the treatments; the water is famed for its healing properties, it is a natural cure and is used for inhalations, mud treatments and thermal baths.
