Cycling Events 2017
May 23 – Giro d’Italia: stage “Rovetta – Bormio” with the climbs to the Mortirolo and Stelvio passes
June 11 – Granfondo Stelvio Santini: International Granfondo event on three routes climbing both the Stelvio and Mortirolo Passes (registrations open from November 2nd);
June 17 to 18 – Valtellina Extreme Brevet: Europe’s hardest randonnée! 4 tracks with a total distance of 454 km and an altitude differ. of 12,118 m.;
June 22 to 25 – Passo dello Stelvio Charity Event / Golazo: charity event during which Bormio will be crowded by thousands of Belgian cyclists ready for three days of pure cycling sports on the legendary roads of the Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo Passes.
June 27-28 – Tour Transalp: international road bike race across the Alps with a stop in Bormio;
June 30 – Stelvio Challenge: charity event on the Stelvio for Italian and Dutch children’s hospital entertainers;
July 9 – Re Stelvio Mapei: a half marathon and cycle race from Bormio to the Stelvio Pass (on this date, the road from Bormio to the Stelvio Pass is closed for motorized vehicles and opened to everybody on bike or by foot);
July 22-23 – DH Italian Championships 2017 at the Bike Park of Bormio;
July 29 – Alta Valtellina Bike Marathon: a MTB race, with two routes, within the magical scenery of the Stelvio National Park (registrations open from October 3rd);
September 2 – Scalata Cima Coppi: non competitive event on the three sides of the Stelvio Pass (the Stelvio road will be closed
