Imagine snow-capped peaks, woods and majestic mountains, That' s what you will see during the Unpaved Roads Bormio. The second edition will take place in the Alps above 2000 metres. A pure adventure is waiting for you in the Stelvio National Park.
The Unpaved Roads has been designed and developed for Gravel lovers. Gravel bikes are best suited for participation, but all types of bikes are allowed, including e-bikes.
The routes:
- Long | 83 km - 2300 m of elevation gain - 64% of gradient (Gravel) - Average time required 9 hours
- Short | 56 km - 1200 m of elevation gain - 65% of gradient (Gravel) - Average time required 5 hours
Where do the routes pass through?
The routes have the first part in common. From Bormio the road starts uphill in the direction of the Cancano Lakes. When you arrive at the dam, you will find yourself in front of 2 sheets of blue water in the middle of peaks that touch 3200 metres above sea level. Once you have descended in the direction of Bormio, those who wish to (and can decide on the spot) continue in the direction of Santa Caterina di Valfurva. Continuing in that direction your attention will be captured by the immensity of the Forni Glacier. All around is nature in its purest state.
